Day passes in Crete: what to know
Crete's day passes are mostly full resort days on the north coast. Around Chania, from Kolymbari in the west to Kalyves and Georgioupoli in the east, resorts sell all-inclusive passes with pools, food and drinks. Several have waterparks with slides for children. Panormo sits between Rethymno and Heraklion. Near Heraklion, in Kokkini Hani, a beachfront resort has sunbeds and cabanas by the sea.
Because many passes are all-inclusive, the day usually covers meals and drinks as well as the pools. That makes them a good stop for families driving across the island. The season follows the resorts, roughly May to October, and each one sets its own hours and children's prices.
