What Hotelday is

Hotelday lists day passes at hotels in Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Slovenia, Monaco and Montenegro: pool days, spa circuits, beach clubs, cabanas, fitness access and family-friendly days out. Each pass covers a set number of hours on a chosen date, with no overnight stay and no room to book.

Hotels decide what a pass includes, its price and how many are available on a date. You choose a pass, book online, and turn up.

• Book as a guest — no account needed. You get your booking reference as soon as you book.
• Check in at the hotel’s front desk with your reference and a photo ID.

How it works for hotels

Hotels list the passes they want to sell, and set their own prices and daily capacity for each one. It’s a way to bring guests into a pool, spa or beach area on the hotel’s own terms, on the days that suit it.

Why these countries

Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Austria, Germany, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Slovenia, Monaco and Montenegro each have an unusually high concentration of hotels built around exactly what a day pass is for: pools, spas and beaches, by the sea and in the mountains, often close to a town centre, a beach or the slopes and easy to reach for the day. Starting here means starting where the idea already fits how people travel, and we plan to bring more of Europe onto Hotelday as we grow.
